With the rapid development of the automotive industry, particularly the widespread adoption of new energy vehicles and intelligent driving technologies, higher demands have been placed on tire performance in terms of safety, fuel efficiency, and comfort. Traditional tire often fails to balance the critical “magic triangle” of properties: low rolling resistance, strong wet traction, and high wear resistance. In response, nanotechnology has emerged as a breakthrough, where materials such as nanocarbon black and nano-silica enhance performance via their unique interfacial interactions and network structures. This article reviews the reinforcement mechanisms and real-world applications of these nanomaterials, citing industrial examples where they significantly improve mechanical strength, reduce rolling resistance, and increase wet grip. However, obstacles related to dispersion homogeneity, production scalability, and eco-compatibility remain. Looking forward to future, emphasis should be placed on eco-friendly production techniques, multi-functional nano-fillers, and innovative surface treatments to promote the development of high-performance, sustainable, and intelligent tires.
